Young Money spitter Nicki Minaj has already revealed that her hotly-anticipated debut, Pink Friday, will feature a collabo with hip-hop heavyweight Eminem, as well as contributions from her colorful alter egos. However, the album's recently unveiled track list shows that the "Right Thru Me" hitmaker has corralled an A-list roster of features for her major-label maiden voyage.

"Blazin," a collaboration with "genius" MC Kanye West, appears on the track list for the deluxe version of Friday, which hit iTunes Saturday. Rihanna, who teamed up with Minaj for the Loud collaboration "Raining Men," returns the favor on the track "Fly." The will.i.am-assisted single "Check It Out" and "Moment 4 Life," featuring Minaj's labelmate and ex-Twitter husband Drake, also appear on the album. Perhaps one of the more surprising guests is British songstress Natasha Bedingfield, who lends her skills to "Last Chance."

Minaj, who gave MTV News a preview of the album's vibe with a freestyle during "RapFix Live" last week, has built her mainstream career by consistently knocking out powerhouse features for everyone from Trey Songz to Diddy. Even though she's ready to run the game with her solo work, the breakout femcee has maintained she's down to work with anyone who can contribute to an inventive collabo. While entertaining the idea of jumping on a track with fellow music original Lady Gaga, Minaj insisted she wouldn't pass up a partnership with potential.

"I'm inspired by her creativity," Minaj said during her recent "RapFix Live" interview. "The women in the game, I never say I would never work with them because, in fact, if there's an opportunity for me to work with them, and it's a way that we can kill the game and do something crazy, why would I turn that down?"

Here's the track list for Pink Friday, which is slated to hit stores November 22.

1. I'm The Best
2. Roman's Revenge (featuring Eminem)
3. Did It On 'Em
4. Right Thru Me
5. Fly (featuring Rihanna)
6. Save Me
7. Moment 4 Life (featuring Drake)
8. Check It Out (featuring will.i.am)
9. Blazin (featuring Kanye West)
10. Here I Am
11. Dear Old Nicki
12. Your Love
13. Last Chance (featuring Natasha Bedingfield)
14. Super Bass
15. Blow Ya Mind
16. Muny
17. Girls Fall Like Dominoes [Bonus Track]

What song you looking forward to hearing from Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday? Let us know in the comments!

Looking fabulous in each and every option, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" darling swapped in and out of the various ensembles including a feline suit, Little Red Riding Hood outfit, Queen of Hearts costume and sexy pirate garb.

Unable to make up her mind, Miss Kardashian took to her Twitter page to ask for help in deciding after narrowing down the field.

The 30-year-old wrote, "Happy Halloween! I still can't decide between 2 costumes...I will twitpic tonight! Ok the 2 options are a pirate or little red riding hood! But they are super cute and sexy! Which should I be?"

'Hangover 2' Director Addresses Mel Gibson Switch

'No one was ever fired,' says Todd Phillips.

After news broke that Mel Gibson's cameo in "The Hangover 2" had been scrapped, observers tried to figure out why the Australian actor had landed on the cutting-room floor. But the film's director, Todd Phillips, wants the public to know that Gibson wasn't fired.

"No one was ever fired," Phillips said, according to MTV Radio. "It's a term that is so obscene to me."

Gibson was slated to play a tattoo artist. But shortly after "Hangover" star Zach Galifianakis said during a radio appearance that he was in a "deep protest right now with a movie I'm working on," Liam Neeson replaced Gibson.

"Someone was doing me a favor to come in for a two-minute cameo, and we changed it," Phillips explained. "It wasn't like we fired somebody. [Gibson] was just doing a favor from the beginning."

Phillips recently released a statement saying that he had wanted Gibson in the film, but that not everyone agreed with his decision.

"I thought Mel would have been great in the movie," read the statement. "And I had the full backing of [Warner Bros. Pictures president] Jeff Robinov and his team. But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew."

What do you think of Mel Gibson being cut from "The Hangover 2"? Let us know in the comments!

"Saw 3D," the latest installment in the mega-successful, horror series, snagged the top spot at the Friday box office. The legacy of Jigsaw's deadly traps lives on in the torture franchise's latest screen turn, picking up $9 million opening day.

Fright films held the top two spots as moviegoers prepared for the Halloween weekend. "Paranormal Activity 2," which burst into theaters last week with over $40 million, took the second-place slot Friday with $5.8 million. The creepfest went into the weekend with a total estimated tally of almost $55 million.

The action comedy "Red" remained a strong pick among moviegoers, coming in third place. The assassin-powered romp, which stars screen heavyweights Helen Mirren and Bruce Willis, made $3.4 million. The figure ups the movie's total estimated haul to just over $51 million.

The stunt-crammed, prankster behemoth "Jackass 3D" continued its run in the box-office top five. The "Jackass" guys' latest installment of freak-out tricks took fourth place, and raked in around $3.1 million on Friday. The film's total estimated gross now stands at about $96 million.

The supernatural drama "Hereafter" landed in the fifth-place slot. Boosted by a heartfelt performance from Hollywood vet Matt Damon as a psychic dealing with the consequences of his unique talent, the film follows the lives of three people grappling with their relative proximities to the afterlife. The flick snagged about $2 million Friday; a figure which bumps film's total haul to about $18 million.

Bizarre Behavior: Charlie Sheen Allegedly Shouts N Word, Cakes Face in Cocaine

New details are emerging on Charlie Sheen's raucous, drug-fueled night inside a New York City restaurant and hotel room this week - and they make the actor look even more pathetic, if that's possible.

As previously reported and pictured, Sheen started the night at an establishment called Daniel. He drank and dined with friends and acquaintances, including porn star/call girl Capri Anderson.

What, Charlie Worry?

Three days after his NYC rampage, Charlie Sheen was back in Los Angeles, telling reporters he is "excellent."

At one point, a source revealed to Radar Online, the actor "convinced Capri to go to the bathroom with him." From there:

"He started snorting cocaine and then took off his pants. Charlie wanted to have sex with Capri and tried but she stopped him and demanded her $12,000. He didn't have the money on him so she left him in the bathroom!"

When Sheen didn't come back to the table with his date, his assistant went to the bathroom, opened the door and...

"There was Charlie standing there naked with cocaine all over his face!" the source said. "He was delusional and just completely lost. Totally out of it."

But that's not all! It's been well-documented that Sheen and Anderson made it back to his room at the Plaza, only for the former to flip out over his missing wallet and watch. Capri locked herself in the bathroom out of fear. Sheen's reaction?

"He was punching the walls of the hotel room and going crazy and shouting 'n**ger, n**ger, n**ger for no reason at all," the insider says.

We can't verify this report, of course. But would anything shock you about Sheen at this point?

'Saw 3D': The Reviews Are In!

Newest installment in the horror series is expected to gross $20 million in its opening weekend.
By Eric Ditzian

"Saw 3-D"
Photo: Lionsgate Films

"Saw 3D" has nowhere to go but up. Last October, "Saw VI" managed to trap just $14 million over its opening weekend, fewer dollars than the original flick's debut weekend and about half as much as each of the previous four films in the series managed to gross.

"Saw 3D," by contrast, is expected to open somewhere in the low-to-mid $20 million range and top "Paranormal Activity 2" for the #1 spot at the box office. Mind you, that'll be in large part to its inflated ticket price, not an outpouring of critical praise — reviews are decidedly mixed.

The Story
"This time the game revolves around slimy self-help guru Bobby Dagen (Sean Patrick Flanery), a Jigsaw survivor who has grown rich off his story and parading around fellow victims. Naturally, he's abducted and thrown into another series of morality tests in order to save his wife and fellow cohorts. Meanwhile, the sadistic Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) also plots revenge against Jigsaw's widow (Betsy Russell), who has been locked away in protective custody ever since trying to kill him at the end of 'Saw VI.' And yes, the fate of Dr. Gordon (Cary Elwes, in a brief role) is finally revealed in the film's worst-kept secret.

But even though it's no longer a surprise, it's still great to have everyone's favorite Dread Pirate Roberts thrown back into the bloody fray." — Andrew Kasch, Dread Central

The Comparison to The Others "There is tension in the movie (and good thing), and it is grueling (not a good thing). While the script is tight, the direction is not. And it pains me to say so, because Kevin Greutert, who edited the first five chapters of the 'Saw' story and directed the sixth, is such a nice person ... But I can't candy-coat it: Greutert's two 'Saw's, along with (another nice person) David Hackl's, are by far the weakest in the franchise. Talking scenes go on for far too long (allowing one to see how poor some of the acting is), and there isn't much art to the set pieces. Visually-gifted storytellers James Wan ('Saw 1') and Darren Lynn Bousman ('Saws 2', '3', and '4') really set the bar." — Staci Layne Wilson, Horror.com

The Traps
"How are the traps this time out? Decent, but again, a step down from 'Saw VI.' One, involving having to physically pull a key from a very difficult place, is pretty effective. Another, involving crossing an area where the floor is almost completely gone, adds a nice bit of adventure to the vibe (and gave me flashbacks to Flanery's days as Indiana Jones). But at the same time, there's nothing truly memorable in the way 'Saw III''s rack or 'Saw VI''s carousal were. One exception: The best trap here is probably the one involving a car and a neat/twisted domino effect caused when it falls from a jack. By the way, I know this is nothing new in this series, but watching 'Saw 3D,' I kept thinking how Jigsaw must have both the brilliance and bank account of Tony Stark, considering how elaborate, specific and complicated these traps are.' — Eric Goldman, IGN

The 3-D
"I'm sort of on the fence. It's technically great — this movie opens things up a bit (an outside trap, several exterior shots) and even the traps themselves are larger, so if any of the movies HAD to be in 3-D, it would be this one. And it was SHOT in 3-D (not a convert) so it automatically looks better than most of what we're seeing. But I'm not sure it's the right fit for this particular franchise — it felt sort of weird to have characters throwing things at you, as if they were sort of having fun too. Not that I always want a grim-fest, but it feels a bit campy at times. You may disagree, but I've always felt the series is much more intelligent than its given credit for, however this stuff gives it a slightly goofy tone, like a 'Final Destination' movie more than 'Saw' one." — BC, Bloody Disgusting

The Final Word
"Jigsaw's signature fiendish traps became the focus of the franchise at some point — you can rewatch the first 'Saw' and see how NOT the focus they were — and that means the films get less titillating as the traps get less inventive ... If we ever thought there was any profundity to Jigsaw's philosophy, surely we long ago realized it was B.S. It seems like we're watching now just because, well, we've watched this much, so we might as well finish. What reward is there for us? We can say we watched all seven of them. Jigsaw would be proud." — Eric D. Snider, Cinematical

'Paranormal Activity' Creator Lists His Sequel Requirements

'Found footage is a fairly important part of it,' Oren Peli tells MTV News of first two films.
By Eric Ditzian

Oren Peli

After driving a movie that made more than $40 million its first weekend, the demon will rise again. Make no mistake about it: A sequel to "Paranormal Activity 2" will happen, and filmmakers already know where to take the story.

As director Tod Williams told us, he and the rest of the "PA" crew came up with a slew of ideas about the direction "PA 3" should take. But at this point, according to "PA" creator Oren Peli, no threequel discussions have taken place with Paramount.

"There haven't been any talks that I've been involved in," he told MTV News on Wednesday. "It's only been a couple of days since the weekend. I'm sure people are talking about it and thinking about it. There are probably going to be some discussions."

Peli said that, if "PA 3" is made, there's little chance he'll jump back into the director's chair. "For now I'm happy with my role as a producer," he said.

As a producer, though, he was intimately involved with the creation of "PA 2," and he told us that whatever happens in "PA 3," the movie needs to stay true to its roots of being found-footage-based and taking place in a regular family's house.

"I think found footage is a fairly important part of it in the way it presents the movie in very authentic footage, so it doesn't feel like a movie," he said. "And I think the other thing is what happens in your own home at night while you're asleep and you're vulnerable and there's an unseen force. You don't know what it is, you don't know how to protect yourself from it."

Check out everything we've got on "Paranormal Activity 2."

While there, the brunette beauty dished to THR about her upcoming plans, saying, "I'm working on my album right now, my video comes out in Europe tomorrow, I'm excited about touring and stuff. Miley Cyrus' Movie 'LOL' Picked Up By Distributor

Remake of 2008 French hit co-stars Demi Moore and Ashley Greene
By Gil Kaufman

Miley Cyrus will cement her transition from kiddie TV star to teenage vixen in her upcoming movie "LOL," which was just picked up for distribution by Lionsgate, according to Variety.

The English-language remake of the 2008 French hit reportedly includes a number of scenes that might make Cyrus' "Hannah Montana" fans blush; her character is said to lose her virginity, smoke pot and kiss two girlfriends on the lips.

Co-star Demi Moore told MTV News in April that though Cyrus — whose parents announced their divorce this week — plays a wild child in the film, in real life she's "incredibly grounded" and not at all like her "LOL" character.

"[Miley] is a true professional, and she truly has a wonderful family," Moore said. "It really shows." The veteran actress plays the overbearing, confounded mom of Cyrus' character, who gets freaked out after accidentally reading her daughter's journal and finding out just how out of touch they have become.

The movie, which also stars "Twilight" alum Ashley Greene, does not have a release date. Like the French original, it is written and directed by Lisa Azuelo; the cast also includes Thomas Jane ("Hung"), Gina Gershon ("Rescue Me"), Marlo Thomas ("That Girl"), Fisher Stevens ("Awake"), Adam Sevani ("Step Up 3D"), Jay Hernandez ("Takers") and Austin Nichols ("One Tree Hill").

Cyrus and Greene were spotted shooting scenes for the film in Detroit earlier this summer and recently moved to Paris to continue production. In photos released last month, a smiling Cyrus, embraced at the waist by co-star Douglas Booth, is standing alongside a pensive-looking Greene and other castmembers Ashley Hinshaw and Lina Esco. In other shots, Booth and Cyrus are snuggling on a double-decker bus while Greene is on another bus. Booth and Cyrus also were filmed standing on a bridge chatting.

Cyrus has said that in her post-"Hannah Montana" career, she's looking to film more serious, mature movies, and that she intends to take a break from music to pursue her film career.

"I'm working on lots of different films: drama, action, comedy," she said. "I like challenges, so I'm doing a little bit of everything.

"The more I make music that doesn't truly inspire me, the more I feel like I'm blending in with everyone else," she added. "I'm taking some time off [from music]."

Ben Stiller Dishes On Les Grossman Movie

'I want to try to get Tom Cruise to play him,' Stiller says of flick about 'Tropic Thunder' producer.
By Kara Warner

Ben Stiller
Photo: MTV News

After delighting his adoring public at the MTV Movie Awards earlier this year, Les Grossman is set to return to the big screen with Grossman's celeb fans and possible co-stars have already confirmed their excitement for the upcoming flick, but it's been awhile since we've had an update.

Enter Grossman's "Tropic Thunder" co-star, "good friend" and mastermind Ben Stiller. When MTV News caught up with the busy man at the "Megamind" press day (Stiller produced the film and has a small role in it), we asked him for some Les Grossman movie scoop.

"Les Grossman is notoriously difficult to negotiate with, so we're right now negotiating with him because he wants to play himself in the film," Stiller revealed. "And he's kind of a bully, and he's very argumentative, and he's a little bit abusive.

"I want to try to get Tom Cruise to play him," Stiller added. "So if I can get Tom Cruise, who's interested to play him, if Les will agree not to play himself, then it looks like it could be coming together. A script is being written now."

In addition to Grossman's assistant (played by Bill Hader) scoring a role, what other "Tropic Thunder" characters might make an appearance?

"There'll probably be a few, actually, 'cause he's really instrumental in all of their careers," Stiller said. "He's really the puppet master. And there's going to be a really strong hip-hop element to the movie, as you might guess."

The funnyman went on to say that the film will likely feature a slew of celeb cameos. "Les ... can compel you to do something if he wants you to do it, so he'll probably be making calls himself," Stiller said.

And will this seminal piece of cinema be a biopic of sort?

"It is," Stiller admitted. "It kind of has a little bit of a 'What Makes Sammy Run,' sort of. 'Where did this guy come from? How did he become the force of nature or terror that he is?' "

Rihanna?s Busy Night in the Big Apple

She always has a crazy schedule and last night (October 29) Rihanna was spotted leaving Rockefeller Center where she had been rehearsing for ?Saturday Night Live.?

The ?Only Girl (In the World)? songstress looked lovely as she strolled out into Manhattan sporting a denim jacket and a fluffy white dress.

Ri-Ri also paid a visit to MTV Studios on Broadway in Times Square and even took some time to sign autographs for her eager fans.

As for her absence from Katy Perry?s recent wedding to Russell Brand, Rihanna explained, ?The album is coming out in two weeks, and I had to be available for a lot of approvals. We couldn?t get any phone service or Internet service over there. I was crushed, was really looking forward to it, but she understood. I was glad I could throw her a bachelorette party.?

Nicki Minaj Remembers Being 'Obsessed' With Jay-Z

'I remember our dream was just to meet Jay,' Minaj says of childhood friends' love for Hov.
By Mawuse Ziegbe, with reporting by Sway Calloway

Nicki Minaj is becoming the queen of the co-signs, racking up features with and acclaim from fellow spitters like Kanye West and will.i.am. However, for all the props she's gotten so far, it was the nod from Jay-Z that really got to the Young Money Barbie.

During a sit-down with MTV News' Sway for "RapFix Live," Minaj revealed that her love for Hov began back when the young femcee was still a schoolgirl with stars in her eyes.

"I remember in junior high school and high school, me and my best friend, we were so obsessed with Jay," Minaj said. That enduring adoration for the Brooklyn rap king continues today among the "Check It Out" rhymer's crew.

"I have a friend ... I was like, 'Do you realize you cannot have a conversation without quoting Jay Z?' " Minaj said. Apparently, the budding lyricist's homegirl knew she had the chops to go bar-for-bar with the hip-hop titan. "I remember our dream was just to meet Jay. I remember she would tell me, 'He'll work with you one day,' and I was like, 'No he won't, Viola, no he won't.' "

Of course, nowadays Minaj's saucy verse on Kanye West's track "Monster," which features Jay, is one of her more memorable turns on the mic. However, coming up as an aspiring MC in Queens, Minaj feared the hip-hop greats she looked up to would already be over the rap thing if she ever got major, and she wouldn't have the chance to jump on a track with some of her favorite artists. Luckily for her, the rap masters she admires — including Eminem, who recently jumped on a collabo with Nicki — are not only still kicking, they're welcoming the plucky spitter, and her unique swagger, with open arms.

"I kept thinking that all the people in the game at that time when I was little was gonna be out of the game by the time, if I did get into the game," she said. "I remember I used to be like, 'Dag, I'll never get to work with this one, I'll never get to work with that one,' and just to know that Jay is even saying something or knows me is crazy."

Are you surprised to hear that Nicki was obsessed with Jay-Z? Let us know in the comments!

"No one was ever fired," Phillips said, according to People.

Kristen Stewart Recalls Being 'Sensitive' After 'Welcome To The Rileys'

Actress told us she would 'kill' someone for looking at a girl the wrong way, but she chalked the quote up to 'feeling a little spunky that day.'

At Sundance this past January, well over a year after Kristen Stewart wrapped shooting on "Welcome to the Rileys," the actress told us that playing the part of Mallory, a teen runaway turned prostitute, had changed her outlook on the interaction between men and women.

"I think I'm just a little bit sensitive," she admitted to MTV News. "If you looked at a girl wrong now, I would fly across the room and kill you. It's like I feel so, so, so protective of a certain thing women have."

While KStew still maintains that the role has shaped her, she stops short of using such forceful language and laughed about what she said back in Sundance. "I was probably feeling a little spunky that day," she told us.

And just for the record, she hasn't had any run-ins with inappropriate guys since Sundance — "luckily," she added, noting that over time she's become less thin-skinned, though no less connected to her character.

"I was overtly sensitive, more so than she would be," Stewart explained. "I was so touchy with that kind of thing. That's probably what I was talking about."

To really understand how Stewart was feeling when she dropped that "kill" quote, we have to flash back to Sundance, when she spoke at length about the role she called the most personal of her career.

"It's about understanding who you're playing, and you have a responsibility because you feel like you can't let them down," she told us back then. "[My character] really became a part of me. I haven't felt so personally involved in something. If I sort of flippantly played some stripper — there are some lines I thought were really funny in the movie — I think that's good, but at the same time, I didn't want to make something superficial."

Helena Bonham Carter Likes Her 'Insane' 'Deathly Hallows' Character

'She's kind of exhausting to play because she screams a lot,' actress admits of Bellatrix Lestrange.

The promo campaign for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" has kicked into high gear, with various TV spots, trailers and character posters lighting up screens and billboards, and turning up the already intense fan excitement for the film.

When MTV News caught up with the ever-unique Helena Bonham Carter at the Hollywood Awards Gala on Monday night, we asked her what she thought about seeing herself — as super-villain Bellatrix Lestrange — all over the place.

"I like that one," Bonham Carter said of this poster. "I don't usually like photos of me, but I like that one because there is lots of atmospheric lighting," she explained.

"And also, I like my teeth. I had fake teeth," she added. "It's a beauty tip: Use fake teeth. The [teeth] plumped up my upper lip, which makes you look younger. It's like having collagen without having collagen because it makes the lip fuller. Always get false teeth."

A valuable tip, indeed, but we wondered what else Bonham Carter enjoyed about playing the crazy, evil Bellatrix.

"Well, she's totally insane," she said. "It's always fun playing insane. She's kind of exhausting to play because she screams a lot, but she was fun. I miss her, actually. She's innately a child, which is always fun to be childish. Any excuse to be childish."

Bonham Carter has also said getting to play Hermione was a favorite moment in filming "Deathly Hallows."

"Rather than put Emma Watson in a helluva load of makeup, they just said, 'Now you go act like Hermione,' " she said of the filmmakers' decision. "That was fun, because I always wanted to be Hermione. ... [I was] looking at Dan [Radcliffe] and Rupert [Grint], and they were treating me as if I was 17."

Are you excited to see how Helena takes on Hermione? Tell us in the comments!

Some lucky Justin Bieber fans got the first glimpse of what to expect from his 3-D movie when he premiered the trailer for "Never Say Never" during his My World Tour stop in Los Angeles on Monday night. And the verdict from the fans MTV News spoke with can be summed up in one word: amazing.

"He said, 'Hey L.A., we have a special surprise for you. Something no one else has seen yet and you're only seeing it here tonight,' " Nicole Reddin recalled after the Staples Center concert. "And everyone was super excited. It feels like it's more of a documentary. It's a little bit more real than the things you see. It's a lot more [that] you get to know him and that's what we want to see."

Priestly Cleveland gave the trailer a glowing review. "It's the trailer for his movie, which is actually coming out Valentine's Day weekend. ... I loved it," she said. "My favorite part of the trailer was definitely when he was younger and singing and playing the guitar. I loved it ... it was cute, classic."

Added Juliana En, "It shows a bunch of baby pictures of him while he's growing up and pictures of him backstage just, like, doing random stuff."

The preview had special meaning for another longtime Belieber. "I remember when I used to watch Justin Bieber on YouTube before he got famous and I was totally a fan," Rachel Kelly said. "So this is really exciting."

"Never Say Never" won't hit theaters until February, but the singer's fans plan to keep busy until the flick's release date.

"I can't wait to see it," Cleveland told us. "In the meantime, I'm just gonna keep going on YouTube."

Taylor Swift Turned To Songwriting Out Of Loneliness

'I was going through a very lonely phase at school,' Speak Now singer tells MTV's 'The Seven.'
By Mawuse Ziegbe

Taylor Swift became a chart-topping singer and songwriter as a teen, and while her drive and focus likely pushed her megastardom, she said she originally began penning lyrics because she was lonely.

"I turned to songwriting because I didn't really have anybody else to talk to," Swift said during an interview on MTV's "The Seven" Wednesday (October 27). "I was going through a very lonely phase at school, which a lot of kids do. It's just when you're going through it you feel like you're the only one going through it."

Channeling the pain through the pen, Swift used her loner status to launch her into superstar territory. Along the way, she's learned that while her lyrics may be informed by new experiences, she plans to remain true to herself.

"I changed a lot over the course of my life, and having written songs since I was 12, your perspective changes," she said. "But I think part of growing up is realizing that you'll never change, but you'll never stay the same either."

One thing that doesn't stay the same is her schedule, which picked up the pace as the starlet dropped her latest album, Speak Now.

"A typical day for me, it's fun, because, lately, there really is no typical day. There are some things that are always gonna be the same, like my priority on family and making sure that I always remember to love this," she explained.

Although she has to maintain the packed and sometimes punishing schedule of a global pop star, Swift says she doesn't regret trading in dorm life for the limelight.

"I'm very conscious of the path that I chose in life and that it is a different path than what my friends chose. College and living in a dorm, that would have been my life if music hadn't been my life," she said, adding that she gets a taste of the campus experience through her close friends and family. "I always keep one eye on that path. I go and I visit my brother at college and I visit my best friend Abigail at college and go and I attend her journalism class. I have no regrets about the path that I took, but I still try to experience as much as I possibly can in life."

Swift maintained that her "biggest challenge is staying closer to hope rather than being closer to fear," but added that doing what she loves keeps her grounded.

"Loving this is a big part of my life and sometimes, if you get too tired or you're jetlagged, you might forget," she said. "But I always remind myself that I love this."

Don't miss "The Seven" every weekday at 5 p.m. ET on MTV.

Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Ke$ha To Perform At American Music Awards

The star power at the upcoming American Music Awards just got kicked up a notch — or 20. In addition to the previously announced performance from Christina Aguilera, the November 21 show at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles will feature the debut AMA appearances from three of music's hottest young stars.

Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Ke$ha will all perform at the show alongside a roster of veteran acts including Bon Jovi, Pink and Usher. Fittingly, all three newbies are also nominated for Artist of the Year, a category that features heavy-hitters Eminem and Lady Gaga as well. Em and Lady Antebellum lead all nominees with five apiece.

"As a small-town kid from Canada, I never imagined that I would be nominated for AMAs, let alone be performing on the show," Bieber said, according to The Associated Press, which added that the 16-year-old professed to feel "extremely humbled and honored" by the invitation to play the show.

More presenters and performers will be announced in coming weeks.

"Justin, Katy and Ke$ha have been on the top of the charts all year long. We are happy to see each of them make their own AMA history," AMA producer Larry Klein said in a statement announcing the additions. Bieber is nominated in four categories overall, while Ke$ha and Perry are up for three awards.

Winners will be determined by online voting at AMA.ABC.com.

Who are you most excited to see perform at the AMAs? Let us know in the comments!

'Paranormal Activity' Creator Answers More Burning Sequel Questions

'PA 2' producer Oren Peli addresses our lingering queries about the horror film.
By Eric Ditzian

Photo: MTV News

On Monday, just hours after "Paranormal Activity 2" finished up its $40.7 million opening weekend, MTV News stepped in to answer some burning questions about the horror film with the help of director Tod Williams.

But you know what? We had even more questions we wanted answered, so we brought in "PA" creator Oren Peli — who stepped into a producer role for the sequel — to respond to some other lingering queries we had about the film (major spoilers below).

What Happened to the Dog?
As the demon presence ramps up its activity in Kristi and Dan's home, their dog essentially freaks the hell out and has to be rushed to the vet. Perhaps he had a seizure, one of them speculates. But the dog is never seen again. So is the German Shepherd OK?

"Many are concerned," Peli laughed. "As far as I know, the dog is OK. There's a line in there that they're going to pick her up from the vet. So I think she's OK."

What Did the Scratches on the Door Say?
The demon seems to have taken up residence in their basement, and after Kristi is dragged kicking and screaming down there, the camera focuses in on the door. It appears as though a word is scratched into the wood. Does it actually say anything?

"I will say that it does say something, but I'm not sure when is the right time to reveal that," Peli confirmed. "We might want to save that for later. I'm going to keep quiet on that."

Aren't They Glad They Didn't Kill Off Katie in the First Movie?
As fans of the first movie know, Peli filmed a few different endings. In the ending that made it into the theatrical release, Katie survives. But in an alternate ending, she's shot by police. But "PA 2" begins its story prior to the events of the original and ends after those original events take place, with Katie showing up at Kristi's house to commit a few murders. Given that storytelling technique, how happy is Peli that he didn't kill off Katie in the first movie?

Turns out, Peli is confident that even if the alternate "PA" ending stuck, Katie could still have showed up to wreak bloody havoc at the end of "PA 2." "When I did the first one, I wasn't thinking about a sequel or anything like that," he explained. "But there are a lot of smart writers out there. There's probably ways to get around anything."

How Did They Avoid the 'Blair Witch 2' Curse?
"PA" is often compared to "The Blair Witch Project," insofar as they are both breakout horror hits that utilize the found-footage narrative technique. While "Blair Witch" grossed almost $250 million worldwide, the sequel abandoned its found-footage roots and ultimately made just 19 percent as much as the original.

For "PA 2," Peli and his fellow filmmakers learned the lessons of "Blair Witch 2" well and were sure to preserve the elements of "PA" that made it so popular. " 'Blair Witch' was an example of a movie that really worked and they really changed the format. The audience that loved the first one came to see the second one, and they got something very different," he said. "We wanted to make sure that the fans that had been waiting will not be disappointed. The things that they liked about the first one, we tried to stay true to that but also give them a different story and a grander scope of things, so it'll be both new and consistent with what worked the first time."

What Did Peli Actually Do on 'PA 2'?
While Peli wrote and directed "PA," he stepped into the role of producer for "PA 2." So, um, what the heck did Peli actually do for the sequel?

"I was there during the entire shoot," he said. "It was much more of a collaborative effort. [Tod] was the main guy running the show, but he was very collaborative. Everyone got to chip in their ideas, and I had a lot of ideas. There was a lot of teamwork involved, but it was so tricky to pull off the right tone. Everyone checked their egos.

"We all really love Tod. He got what made the first one work," Peli added. "Tod is also a writer, so he brought a lot of good ideas in. Also, I've already lived with 'Paranormal Activity' for four years, so I was ready to move and transition and let someone else take over."

Check out everything we've got on "Paranormal Activity 2."
