While there have been glimpses of the production via on-set paparazzi shots over the past few months, the very first stills from 'The Great Gatsby" have just been released.
The two images feature the Baz Luhrmann directed classic remake's trio of leading stars, with the castmates consisting of Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire.
"The Great Gatsby" is "an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Long Island-set novel, where Midwesterner Nick Carraway is lured into the lavish world of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby. Soon enough, however, Carraway will see through the cracks of Gatsby's nouveau riche existence, where obsession, madness, and tragedy await."
Also starring Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher, Gemma Ward and Callan McAuliffe, the much-awaited film is set for a Christmas Day (December 25) 2012 release.
